DESIGNER INTRODUCTION

Hello world. I'm Corey Michaud, a visual designer based out of Portland, Oregon. I currently work at Emerge Interactive as an Interactive Designer. My foundation as a designer is in graphic design and visual communications, but I always find myself constantly expanding my vision into other creative avenues. My goal as a creative individual is to always be dynamic.

DIGITAL SKILLS & TECHNOLOGY

I like to apply my creative vision to other fields and technologies. Some of those include: front end web development (HTML5/CSS3), user experience & interface design, motion graphics, studio photography, and 3D modeling. The learning and progress of working with new technologies is what captivates me to always explore. I am a designer with a geeky appreciation for technology.

FEATURED PROJECT: STEALTH HUE

My favorite or latest project that I am working on will be featured here in this section. I will be placing projects here that tend to push my creativity into new mediums of design and exploration. Check back often as I will update featured works on a frequent basis.

The goal for the Hue was to create a 3D rendering concept of a smart phone focused on having a user experience that is very easy to understand and still maintain a lot of style. While a lot of smart phones on the market are functional, and not necessarily the most visually appealing, the Stealth Hue uses striking, modern typography and simple icons to create a very appealing user interface that blends function and aesthetics properly.
